Renowned international content provider, Banijay France has reportedly acquired DMLS TV, a France-based music entertainment producer, in a bid to proliferate its local footprint.
Apparently, DMLS TV gives access to some of the leading artists as well as musical entertainment shows across France, including the Duos Mystères, La Chanson Secrète, and the La Chanson Challenge.
For the record, the music entertainment firm was established around 20 years ago and continues to be led by the duo of Mathieu Vergne and Anne Marcassus, who are also the volunteer executive producers of Les Enfoirés, the annual ratings smash charity event that features the top French talent.
It has been divulged that the DMLS duo would now report to François de Brugada, the country CEO of Banijay France.
François de Brugada hailed DMLS TV as the perfect addition to the company as it continues to broaden its offering across France while cementing its stronghold in the market. He mentioned that Anne and Mathieu, being aligned to the commitment to top-quality unscripted hits, would further bolster the company’s entertainment and music catalogue. He also believed that their titles possessed the abilities to travel the group worldwide.
Meanwhile, Mathieu Vergne and Anne Marcassus reportedly expressed anticipation at gaining access to the extensive catalogue of the business to offer solutions to all their broadcast and streaming partners as part of the partnership. The duo also described the team up as a wonderful opportunity to help DMLS TV’s titles in traveling the world.
According to Banijay France, the acquisition of DMLS TV will boost the group’s content portfolio in the region, which is inclusive of Fort Boyard and Koh Lanta from ALP, as well as Les Marseillais from Banijay Productions France. It would also bring its labels to a total of 11 complementary and independent companies, constituting Endemol France, Shine Fiction, Adventure Line Productions, and Marathon Studio.
