eCargo, Mellow UK unite to distribute & market brand partners in Asia

eCargo Holdings LTD, an ecommerce service provider helping international brands and retailers entering the Asian market, has recently announced its exclusive collaboration with Wellness and CBD marketplace, Mellow UK ('mellow') to distribute and advertise their brand partners all over Asia.

The deal will see the two organizations form the mellow Asia joint venture (JV), which would enable eCargo to distribute and sell items for mellow's brand partners in Asia, utilizing its experience to assist brands in entering and developing into new markets.

As regulations adapt to new categories and more brands enter the region, the global CBD & Hemp wellness market will grow rapidly, reaching USD18 billion in 2025. Asia is likely to represent a considerable portion of this market.

Furthermore, eCargo can take advantage of future market development by collaborating with mellow and establishing mellow Asia.

Mellow brand launches will mainly focus on eCommerce to expand physical presence in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia before entering into India and Japan in 2022 through collaborations with marketplaces like Flipkart, TataCliq, Rakuten, etc.

Lawrence Lun, CEO of eCargo, commented that their firm is thrilled to collaborate with mellow and utilize its Asia distribution capabilities to sell products throughout the region. Both firms will benefit from the projected exponential development in the Asian CBD industry, and mellow Asia will become the continent's top distributor of these products.

James Storie-Pugh, Co-Founder, Mellow, added that they are  ecstatic to be collaborating with eCargo on mellow Asia. In the next years, Asia's demand for CBD and hemp products will skyrocket, and this agreement positions mellow and its brand partners at the vanguard of that development.

This JV is an important step forward in mellow's worldwide aspirations, utilizing its technological platform and eCargo's Asia expertise, added Mr. James.
