Feed Media to bring Reservoir’s hit music catalog to Adaptr customers

Feed Media Group, a music licensing and distribution company, has recently entered a deal with Reservoir Media, Inc., an independent music company. This new agreement will expand the reach of the publishing catalog of around 130,000 songs of Reservoir to the customers on Feed Media’s Adaptr platform.

The Adaptr platform serves as an end-to-end solution for emerging app developers and startups looking to integrate music legally and quickly into digital experiences such as social media, games, and fitness apps. This plug-and-play platform is equipped with a pre-cleared music and tool catalog, including reporting, streaming infrastructure, and royalty payments.

According to Lauren Pufpaf, Feed Media Group’s COO, the company is emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the catalogs of songwriters and artists, while making it seamless and affordable for brands to legally incorporate music. It also has shown excitement to offer its Adaptr clients access to the hit music catalog of Reservoir Media.

Golnar Khosrowshahi, CEO and Founder of Reservoir Media, has seemingly cited that the recent agreement will diversify its growth through the emerging platforms and boost its extensive digital licensing practice. The company is also thrilled to leverage the Adaptr platform to facilitate licensing, which will enable startups to be music complaint.

The deal follows the recently announced partnerships of Adaptr with other groups namely Warner Music Group, Warner Chappell, Kobalt, Entertainment One, and Merlin. Over 36,000 master recordings of Reservoir, including titles from Tommy Boy Records and Chrysalis Records, have already been made available to Adaptr customers via the Merlin deal.

For those uninitiated, Feed Media launched Adaptr.com in 2021, with an objective to support startups that require popular music within their applications, with all the rights cleared. The platform’s SDK APIs as well as SDKs for iOS, JavaScript, and Android allow startups to efficiently integrate label music into mobile or web applications. Currently, it is available to companies that earn less than $4.5 million in revenue and have secured less than $7.5 million in funding.
